Returning to the mat for the first time in three weeks, the No. 20-ranked Cowley College wrestling team had some solid performances at the JET Open held Saturday at Newman University in Wichita.

Taking part in its final competition of the first semester, the No. 20-ranked Cowley College wrestling team had multiple placers at the 918 Open held Saturday at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, OK.

In its first dual of the season, the Cowley College wrestling team won six of nine matches in a 30-13 win at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Sunday.

With only four sophomores on the roster, the Cowley College wrestling team viewed Saturday’s season-opener at the Friends University Invite in Wichita as a learning tool and a way to see what they need to work on moving forward.

Returning only three wrestlers from last year’s team, the Cowley College wrestling squad will have a new look entering the 2024-25 season.
