Cooper will become a top competitor in the men's shot put. After having a fantastic high school career, Leonard will look to build himself into one of the nation's elite throwers in the near future. He will be competing in the shot put, 35lbs. weight, discus, and hammer events.

The nationally ranked Cowley College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams had three new national qualifiers and several personal best performances while competing on Friday and Saturday at the KT Woodman Classic hosted by Wichita State University.

Battling the wind and rain, the Cowley College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams took a small group of athletes to compete at Friends University on Thursday and Friday in Wichita, KS.

On Saturday, nine teams came to Arkansas City, KS, to participate in the Mark A Phillips Tiger Invite. Honoring the late coach’s memory, the Cowley College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams combined for six event wins and five new national qualifiers.

Opening the outdoor season at the Dean Pryor Invitational on Thursday in Coffeyville, the Cowley College men’s and women’s track and field teams’ throwers got in some good work as they transition from the indoor season.

Led by three All-Americans, the Cowley College men’s indoor track and field team placed 22nd at the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships held Friday and Saturday at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.

The Cowley College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams had solid performances while opening the season at the Rust Buster on Friday at Washburn University in Topeka, KS.
